U.s Immigration Specialist - Legal Assistant

Location: Colombia
Work Model: Hybrid – Mostly Remote
Monday to Friday: Remote
Twice a month: In-person at our modern co-working space in Colombia
Employment Type: Independent Contractor

Compensation: Base Salary: $1500 USD/month + Wellness Bonus: $100 USD/month
Total Monthly Compensation: $1,600 USD

Valent Legal Solutions LLC is looking for a U.S. Immigration Specialist or Legal Assistant to join our remote legal talent team supporting U.S. law firms.
We are looking for a bilingual legal professional with hands-on experience in U.S. Immigration, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage or support immigration cases independently.

Key Responsibilities
-Manage or assist with U.S. immigration cases.
-Prepare and review immigration forms, petitions, and supporting documentation.
-Collect and organize client information and case evidence.
-Monitor case progress, deadlines, and required documentation.
-Communicate with clients and coordinate with attorneys and legal teams.
-Identify missing information or potential case issues and escalate them appropriately.
-Maintain accurate and organized case files.
-Areas of Experience

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in:
- Employment-Based Immigration: PERM / EB
- Humanitarian Immigration: VAWA / U Visa / T Visa
- Family-Based Immigration

Requirements
Minimum 1–2 years of hands-on U.S. Immigration experience.
B2, C1 /C2 English and fluent Spanish.
Experience supporting or managing U.S. immigration cases.
Strong knowledge of U.S. immigration processes.
Experience working with U.S. law firms is a plus.
Colombian Attorney / Law Degree is a plus.
